IDOC Grows
IDOC (http://www.idoc.ba) Digital Library project is a unique search engine and research tool for journalists in the Balkan region. The library covers Bosnian daily, weekly and monthly newspapers and magazines, governmental and legislative publications and periodicals and several other news sources.
It has been steadily growing over the last one and a half year with the number of available texts going over 120,000. Due to its unique offering of up-to-date news and articles in the local media and political scene, the library has gained many users – both individuals and corporate.
The library offers accurate local-language search facilities that enable easy and accurate search through the available research material.
IDOC is built on Cold Fusion platform with MSSQL Server as the database backend. The roadmap for the library sees future enhancements in the coming months which will lead to more features being added for the end-users as well as enhancement and performance tuning work at the search engine level.
