Charles Tham DesignsDeveloped for Charles Tham Design (CTD; formerly Ile De France), this is a full-fledged e-Business application, incorporating an installable CD catalogue (for distribution at trade shows), and a web-based application.

CTD is a manufacturer of fine reproduction furniture, suitable for use in homes, hotels and resorts, with clients, wholesalers and retailers from the US, Europe, the Pacific Rim, and Australia. It retains its operational head office in Indonesia, where it is based. To enhance operational control of its business, CTD commissioned Alcassoft to build its eBusiness application - an eCatalogue, Ordering & Order-tracking System.

Features include:

  • An installable CD Catalogue of CTD’s full range of furniture, to be distributed at trade shows
    • Allows potential customers to view all products, description and price
    • Once installed, up-to-date product information is automatically downloaded through the Internet, eliminating the need to obtain a new CD catalogue
    • Good for low bandwidth areas or those with slow internet connectivity
  • A web-based application, accessible via a web browser with a login page for those with relevant credentials
  • Both desktop and web applications support item ordering and order-tracking facilities

  • Administration of catalogue and customers by CTD
    • Managed via the web application:
      • Full management of products - specifying images, pricing, discounts, colours available, other details (e.g. fabric, upholstery, gilding, etc.)
      • Full management of customers – customer profiles with related trading terms (including history of)
      • Full order-processing capability  order tracking, invoice generation, payment schedules, payment tracking, order fulfillment, etc.
  • Business reporting & statistics - information on orders received, customers & their payment history, fastest-selling items, etc.
